Dili Floods 2020: Report on Disability Inclusion following a Rapid Needs Assessment

Following March 2020 floods in Dili, Timor-Leste, the nation’s leading Disabled Persons Organisation, Ra’es Hadomi Timor Oan (RHTO), participated in a government-led rapid disaster assessment for the first time.

RHTO’s involvement in the rapid needs assessment was supported through the Disaster READY program, with Oxfam in Timor-Leste working closely with RHTO throughout.

RHTO subsequently produced a report on the involvement of people with disabilities in the assessment, inclusive of recommendations for government and other stakeholders on improving disability inclusion in future disaster assessments and response efforts.

The full report in Tetum can be downloaded here.
