Disaster READY Annual Report 2024-25
As the Disaster READY program progresses towards the final 18 months of implementation of Phase 2, partners are focusing on measuring and consolidating the impacts they are collectively making towards strengthening resilience and the ability of communities to proactively and inclusively manage natural disasters.
Year 3 of Disaster READY Phase 2 has been characterised by several new and ongoing disaster events in the region, significant disruptions to global humanitarian aid funding, and an ongoing commitment to learning and innovation evidenced by the launching of new research projects and pilots. Disaster READY partners also continued to implement complementary activities through supplementary DFAT funding mechanisms including the PNG Emergency, El Nino Response and Anticipatory Action Fund.
