Disability Inclusion in Disaster READY

Early evaluation findings and recommendations to inform responses to COVID-19, August 2020.

In March 2020, the World Health Organisation declared a pandemic as COVID-19 spread around the globe. AHP partners working together on the Disaster READY program in Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea have been responding to COVID-19.

A ‘real-time’ disability inclusion evaluation is being undertaken across the COVID-19 response in Disaster READY countries.

This report outlines the initial findings and recommendations provided to partners to ensure the lessons could be incorporated into ongoing COVID-19, and other, activities.
