COVID-19 and Cash Awareness in Fiji

In recent weeks Disaster READY Fiji cash preparedness work, led by Save the Children, has focused on supporting COVID-19 awareness efforts and a needs assessment following Tropical Cyclone Harold.

The team has promoted the use of cashless transactions to reduce person-top-person contact and provided recommendations to address critical needs identified through needs assessments and community outreach in Lautoka and the Yasawa Islands.
